Jennifer Starr is a pioneering casting director and cultural talent curator whose work has shaped fashion imagery and helped define cultural moments for more than three decades.
Known for recognizing extraordinary people before they became widely recognized, Starr has built her career identifying authentic voices across fashion, art, music, film, design, food, and culture. Whether casting emerging talent or established cultural figures, her work is guided by a singular instinct for people whose presence defines a moment.
She has cast landmark campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, GAP, Abercrombie & Fitch, Versace, Marc Jacobs, Jil Sander, and D&G, collaborating with photographers including Bruce Weber, Richard Avedon, Steven Meisel, Annie Leibovitz, Peter Lindbergh, and Inez & Vinoodh. For more than two decades, she also helped shape the casting of the Pirelli Calendar, one of photography's most influential annual projects.
Today, alongside her casting practice, Starr is developing her extensive archive of photographs, films, and interviews—an ongoing exploration of talent, memory, and the stories behind the people who shaped an era.
